Zanesville City is a city located in Muskingum County, Ohio, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Zanesville City is home to 25586 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 25129, It is the 56th largest by population in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.5 sq mi (29.78 sq km), of which, 11.24 square miles (29.11 sq km) of it is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 sq km) of it is water, it is the 73rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.
