Yuma County is a county in the United States of Colorado. The county has a population of 9841 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 9669, It is 38th most populous county in Colorado. The county extends throughout a territory of 2369.1 sq mi (6135.94 sq km ), of which, 2365.79 square miles (6127.37 sq km) of it is land and 3.3 square miles (8.55 sq km) of it is water, it is the 14th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.

The population's age distribution was 28.3% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 26% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males. Its population was estimated at 9669 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.44% White, 0.16% Black or African American, 0.42% American Indian, 0.1% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 0.85% from two or more races.
