York City is a one of the York County, Nebraska, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 8081 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 7870, It is the 20th largest by population in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The city extends throughout a territory of 5.64 square miles (14.61 square kilometre ), it is the 14th largest in terms of geographical size.
