Yazoo County is a United States county located in the United States of Mississippi. The population of county in 2000 stood at 28149 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 28464, making it Mississippi's 33rd largest county. It covers total area of 934.12 square miles (2419.36 sq km), of which, 919.48 square miles (2381.44 sq km) of it is land and 14.64 square miles (37.92 sq km) of it is water, makes it the third largest by total area in Mississippi.
