Yankeetown Town is a town located in Levy County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 629. The July 2008 population estimate is 694, It is the 97th least populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The town extends throughout a territory of 20.3 sq mi (52.58 sq km ), of which, 7.82 square miles (20.25 sq km) of it is land and 12.48 square miles (32.32 sq km) of it is water, it is the 86th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida. It is ranks 16 in the size of its inland waterways in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 629 people, 309 households, and 195 families living in the town. The population density was 80.4 people per square mile (31.04/kmē), giving it the 16th least densely populated town among the Florida.
