Yalobusha County is a county in the United States of Mississippi. In 2000, the population was 13051. The July 2008 population estimate is 13645, It is Mississippi's 22nd least populous county. Its area is just over 495 mi˛ (1282.04 square kilometre), of which, 467.12 square miles (1209.84 square kilometre) of it is land and 27.88 square miles (72.21 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Mississippi's 54th largest county by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 13051 people, 5260 households, and 3599 families living in the county. The population density was 27.9 people per square mile (10.77/km˛), it is the 26th least populated county in terms of population density. There were 6224 housing units at an average density of 13.3 per square mile (5.14/km˛). The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 3.02. Age range in the county was well distributed with 25.6% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.2 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 13645, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 8102 White, 5425 Black or African American, 31 American Indian, 11 Asian, 11 Native Hawaiian, and 65 from two or more races.
