Yakutat City And Borough is a borough in the United States of Alaska. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 808 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 657, It is the least populous borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is spread over 9459.28 mi˛ (24499.42 sq km), of which, 7650.46 square miles (19814.6 sq km ) of it is land and 1808.82 square miles (4684.82 sq km) of it is water, it is the 19th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alaska.


As of the census of 2000, there were 808 people, 265 households, and 159 families residing in the independent city. The population density was 0.1 people per square mile (0.04/km˛), it is Alaska's fifth least densely populated independent city.
