Yakima County is a county located in the United States of Washington. The county has a population of 222581 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 234564, It is Washington's eighth most populous county. The county encompasses an area of 4311.61 square miles (11167.02 square kilometre ), of which, 4296.23 square miles (11127.18 square kilometre) of it is land and 15.38 square miles (39.83 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the second largest by size in Washington.
