Wyandotte City, Michigan is a city of the Wayne County, Michigan, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 28006 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 24739, It is the 51st most populous in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its area is just over 6.97 sq mi (18.05 sq km), of which, 5.31 square miles (13.75 sq km) of it is land and 1.66 square miles (4.3 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 100th largest by total area in Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 28006 people, 11816 households, and 7422 families living in the city. The population density was 5278.1 people per square mile (2037.89/kmē), it is 16th most densely populated city in Michigan.
