Worthington City is a city located in the Nobles County, Minnesota, United States. In 2000, the population was 11283. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 11036, making it Minnesota's 78th largest. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.51 sq mi (22.04 sq km), of which, 7.15 square miles (18.52 sq km) of it is land and 1.37 square miles (3.55 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 111th largest by total area among Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11283 residents, 4311 households, and 2828 families in the city. The population density was 1578.9 people per square mile (609.62/kmē), it is the 130th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
