Worcester County is a county in the United States of Massachusetts. The county has a population of 750963 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 783806, It is the second largest in terms of population. The county extends throughout a territory of 1579.02 square miles (4089.64 square kilometre ), of which, 1513.06 square miles (3918.81 square kilometre) of it is land and 65.95 square miles (170.81 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the largest by total area in Massachusetts. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Massachusetts.

In the county the population was distributed as follows: 25.6% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 13% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.1 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 783806, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 90.95% White, 3.77% Black or African American, 0.3% American Indian, 3.63% Asian, 0.09% Native Hawaiian, and 1.27% from two or more races.
