Woodcliff Lake Borough is a borough located in Bergen County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 5745. Its population was estimated at 5941 in July 2008, It is the 267th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 3.54 mi˛ (9.17 sq km), of which, 3.33 square miles (8.62 sq km) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 sq km) of it is water, making it the 160th largest by size in New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5745 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 1725.3 people per square mile (666.14/km˛), it is the 141st least densely populated borough in the U.S. state of New Jersey. There were 1842 housing units at an average density of 553.2 per square mile (213.59/km˛). The average household size was 3.08 and the average family size was 3.31.
