Wood County, Ohio is a county of the United States of Ohio. Wood County had an official population of 121065 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 125340, making it the 22nd most populous county in Ohio. It covers total area of 620.54 mi˛ (1607.19 sq km), of which, 617.32 square miles (1598.85 sq km) of it is land and 3.22 square miles (8.34 sq km) of it is water, making it the 11th largest by size in Ohio.

The population density was 196.1 people per square mile (75.71/km˛), making its Ohio's 29th most densely populated county. There were 47468 housing units at an average density of 76.9 per square mile (29.69/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.51 persons, and the average family size was 3.04 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 23.7% under the age of 18, 17.2% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 11% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 106.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 109.8 females. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 125340, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 119875 White, 2245 Black or African American, 322 American Indian, 1629 Asian, 26 Native Hawaiian, and 1243 from two or more races.
