Winthrop Harbor Village is one of the city of Lake County, Illinois, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 6670. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 7210, making it the 265th most populous in Illinois. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.38 sq mi (11.34 square kilometre ), of which, 4.31 square miles (11.16 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 252nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
