As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 3584 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 3929, giving it the 437th largest population among Texas. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.68 sq mi (9.53 kmē ), it is the 542nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
