Winnemucca City is a United States city located in the Humboldt County, Nevada, United States. In 2000, the population was 7174. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8085, It is 25th most populous in Nevada. The city extends throughout a territory of 8.27 sq mi (21.42 kmē ), making it the 47th largest by size in Nevada.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 7174 residents, 2736 households, and 1825 families in the city. The population density was 867.5 people per square mile (334.94/kmē), it would be the 21st most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Nevada.
