Winfield Town is a United States town located in the Putnam County, West Virginia, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 1858 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 2055, making it the 84th most populous in West Virginia. The town comprises an area of 2.7 sq mi (6.99 square kilometre), of which, 2.67 square miles (6.92 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 77th largest by area in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
