Windsor City is one of the city of Henry and Pettis counties, Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3087 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 3186, making it the 189th most populous in Missouri. The city spans an area of 2.38 square miles (6.16 square kilometre), of which, 2.36 square miles (6.11 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 228th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3087 people, 1280 households, and 849 families residing in the city. The population density was 1310.5 people per square mile (505.99/kmē), it is the 239th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Missouri. There were 1418 housing units at an average density of 600.8 per square mile (231.97/kmē). The average household size was 2.38 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.3% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 20.1% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 88.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.4 males. The median age is 37.7 years, the median age of male residents at 35.9 and the median age of female residents at 39.5. The racial makeup of the city was 97.02% White, 0.52% Black or African American, 0.65% American Indian, 0.26% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.2% from two or more races and 0.36% Other races.
