Windham County is a United States county located in the United States of Connecticut. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Windham County is home to 109091 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 117345, making it Connecticut's smallest county. The county has a total area of 521.47 sq mi (1350.6 sq km), of which, 512.75 square miles (1328.02 sq km) of it is land and 8.71 square miles (22.56 sq km) of it is water, it is the sixth largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 212.8 people per square mile (82.16/kmē), making its Connecticut's second least densely populated county. There were 43959 housing units at an average density of 85.7 per square mile (33.09/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.56 persons, and the average family size was 3.04 persons. In the county Age distribution was 25.1% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.3 females. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 117345, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 94.3% White, 2.55% Black or African American, 0.52% American Indian, 1.09% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, and 1.49% from two or more races.
