Wilson City is one of the city of Carter County, Oklahoma, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1584 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1634, making it the 165th most populous in Oklahoma. The city spans an area of 5.7 sq mi (14.76 sq km), of which, 5.69 square miles (14.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's 177th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1584 people, 625 households, and 426 families living in the city. The population density was 278.3 people per square mile (107.45/kmē), making it the 224th least densely populated city in Oklahoma. There were 785 housing units at an average density of 138 per square mile (53.28/kmē). The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.03. In the city Age distribution was 26.5% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 20.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 112.3 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 118.4 females. The median age was 37.9 years, the median age of male residents at 35.7 and the median age of female residents at 40.9. The racial makeup of the city was 1421 White, 4 Black or African American, 104 American Indian, 7 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 41 from two or more races and 7 Ohter races.
