Wildwood City is a United States city located in the Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. It is home to over 5436 people (2000 census). In July 2008, its estimated population was 5259, making it the 271st most populous in New Jersey. It covers total area of 1.38 mi˛ (3.57 sq km), of which, 1.29 square miles (3.34 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, it is the 145th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5436 people in the city, organized into 457 households, and 284 families living in the city.
