Wichita City is one of the city of Sedgwick County, Kansas, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Wichita City is home to 344284 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 366046, It is the largest by population in the U.S. state of Kansas. The city spans an area of 138.93 square miles (359.83 sq km), of which, 135.75 square miles (351.59 sq km) of it is land and 3.18 square miles (8.24 sq km) of it is water, making it Kansas's largest by total area. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Kansas.
