According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Whitney Point Village is home to 965 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 940, It is the 236th least populous in the U.S. state of New York. It has total area of 1.09 mi˛ (2.82 sq km), of which, 1 square miles (2.59 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, making it the 273rd smallest by size in New York.
