Whitley County is a county in the United States of Indiana. The population of the county was 30707 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 32667, giving it the 50th largest population among Indiana's county. The county comprises an area of 337.9 mi˛ (875.16 square kilometre), of which, 335.52 square miles (868.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.38 square miles (6.16 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 19th smallest by total area in Indiana.

As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 32667, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.06% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.36% American Indian, 0.36% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 0.7% from two or more races.
