Wheeler County is a one of the county from Nebraska's 93 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 886 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 807, It is the tenth smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Nebraska. It covers total area of 575.57 mi˛ (1490.72 square kilometre), of which, 575.17 square miles (1489.68 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.41 square miles (1.06 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 52nd largest by size in Nebraska.
