Wheatland Town is a United States town located in the Platte County, Wyoming, United States. The town has a population of 3548 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 3298, It is the 22nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Wyoming. The town extends throughout a territory of 4.24 square miles (10.98 square kilometre ), giving it the 70th largest by total area among Wyoming.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3548 people, 1539 households, and 981 families residing in the town. The population density was 837.6 people per square mile (323.4/kmē), making its Wyoming's 50th most densely populated town. There were 1764 housing units at an average density of 416 per square mile (160.62/kmē). The average household size was 2.24 persons, and the average family size was 2.83 persons. In the town the population is diverse age-wise, with 22.8% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 22.7% from 25 to 44, 26.5% from 45 to 64, and 20.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.8 males.
