Wheat Ridge City is one of the city of Jefferson County, Colorado, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 32913 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 30894, making it the 19th most populous in Colorado. The city encompasses an area of 9.11 square miles (23.59 sq km ), of which, 9.09 square miles (23.54 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, making it Colorado's 54th largest by total area.

The population density was 3621 people per square mile (1398.08/kmē), making it the 16th most densely populated city in Colorado.
