Westminster City, Maryland is a city of the Carroll County, Maryland, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 16731 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 17689, making it the 74th most populous in Maryland. Its area is just over 5.71 square miles (14.79 square kilometre), it is the 117th largest by area in the U.S. state of Maryland.
