West Monroe City is a United States city located in the Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 13250 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 12899, It is the 34th largest by population in the U.S. state of Louisiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.97 miē (20.64 kmē), of which, 7.72 square miles (19.99 kmē) of it is land and 0.25 square miles (0.65 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 71st largest by total area among Louisiana.
