West Liberty City is a city located in Morgan County, Kentucky, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 3277. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 3285, It is the 116th largest by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It covers total area of 4.43 sq mi (11.47 sq km), it is the 96th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3277 people, 696 households, and 447 families residing in the city. The population density was 739.3 people per square mile (285.45/kmē), it is Kentucky's 151st least densely populated city. There were 758 housing units at an average density of 171.1 per square mile (66.06/kmē). The average household size was 2.15 and the average family size was 2.71. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 10.1% under the age of 18, 14.8% from 18 to 24, 44.2% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 264.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 297.4 males.
