West Kittanning Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1199 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 1138, It is the 816th largest by population in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The borough extends throughout a territory of 0.4 square miles (1.04 sq km ), it is the 237th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1199 people, 544 households, and 354 families living in the borough. The population density was 3029.6 people per square mile (1169.74/kmē), giving it the 385th most densely populated borough among the Pennsylvania. There were 572 housing units at an average density of 1430 per square mile (552.13/kmē). The average household size was 2.2 persons, and the average family size was 2.75 persons. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 20.2% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 20.3% from 45 to 64, and 25.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.2 males. The median age of the borough's population was 41.9 years, The median age of males was 39 years, for females the median age was 45.4 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 1186 White, Black or African American, American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 10 from two or more races and 2 Ohter races.
