West Haven City is a city located in New Haven County, Connecticut, in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. The city has a population of 52360 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 52420, giving it the 12th largest population among Connecticut. The city encompasses an area of 11.01 mi˛ (28.52 sq km ), of which, 10.84 square miles (28.08 sq km) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 28th largest by total area among Connecticut.
