West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana is a parish located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 15111. Its population was estimated at 15003 in July 2008, It is the 12th least populous parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The parish comprises an area of 426.01 mi˛ (1103.36 sq km), of which, 406 square miles (1051.54 sq km) of it is land and 20.01 square miles (51.83 sq km) of it is water, it is the 12th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.


As of the census of 2000, there were 15111 residents, 3645 households, and 2705 families in the parish. The population density was 37.2 people per square mile (14.36/km˛), it is Louisiana's 40th most densely populated parish. There were 4485 housing units at an average density of 11 per square mile (4.25/km˛). The average household size was 2.73 people, and the average family size was 3.24 people. Age range in the parish was well distributed with 20.3% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 40% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 191.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 223.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 15003, The racial makeup of the parish was 7429 White, 7449 Black or African American, 34 American Indian, 27 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, and 61 from two or more races.
