West Cape May Borough is a borough located in Cape May County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the West Cape May Borough is home to 1095 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 980, It is the 36th smallest by population in the U.S. state of New Jersey. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.19 square miles (3.08 square kilometre), it is the 109th smallest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1095 residents, 457 households, and 284 families in the borough. The population density was 923.5 people per square mile (356.57/kmē), giving it the 66th least densely populated borough among the New Jersey. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 19.6% under the age of 18, 3.6% from 18 to 24, 23.7% from 25 to 44, 28.7% from 45 to 64, and 24.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males.
