West Alton City is a one of the St. Charles County, Missouri, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the West Alton City is home to 573 inhabitants. The city encompasses an area of 36.93 sq mi (95.65 kmē ), of which, 28.36 square miles (73.45 kmē) of it is land and 8.56 square miles (22.17 kmē) of it is water, giving it the tenth largest by total area among Missouri. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Missouri.
