Wentworth Town is a town located in Rockingham County, North Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2779. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2756, It is the 209th largest by population in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Its area is just over 14.37 miē (37.22 kmē), of which, 14.3 square miles (37.04 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 58th largest by total area among North Carolina.
