Welsh Town is a town located in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 3380 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3280, It is the 140th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 6.34 sq mi (16.42 square kilometre), of which, 6.22 square miles (16.11 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 96th largest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
