Weld County is a county located in Colorado, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. Weld County had an official population of 180936 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 249775, It is the ninth largest county by population in the U.S. state of Colorado. It covers total area of 4021.56 mi˛ (10415.79 square kilometre), of which, 3992.45 square miles (10340.4 square kilometre) of it is land and 29.11 square miles (75.39 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the third largest by total area in Colorado. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.
