Welaka Town is a town in the Putnam County, Florida, United States. It is home to over 586 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 802, giving it the 92nd smallest population among Florida. It covers total area of 1.4 mi˛ (3.63 sq km), of which, 1.36 square miles (3.52 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 209th smallest by total area in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 586 people, 276 households, and 173 families living in the town.
