Webster City City is a city in the Hamilton County, Iowa, United States. In 2000, the population was 8176. The July 2008 population estimate is 7720, It is the 42nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Iowa. The city spans an area of 8.57 sq mi (22.2 square kilometre), of which, 8.56 square miles (22.17 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 36th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.

As of the census of 2000, there were 8176 people in the city, organized into 3502 households, and 2227 families living in the city. The population density was 955.5 people per square mile (368.92/kmē), it is the 358th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Iowa.
