Weakley County is one of the 95 county of Tennessee, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. Weakley County had an official population of 34895 in 2000. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 33375, giving it the 43rd largest population among Tennessee's county. It has total area of 581.81 square miles (1506.88 square kilometre), of which, 580.19 square miles (1502.69 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.62 square miles (4.2 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 20th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
