Wayne City is a city located in the Wayne County, Michigan, United States. As of 2000 the population was 19051. The July 2008 population estimate is 17186, It is 70th most populous in Michigan. It has total area of 6.02 sq mi (15.59 sq km), it is the 114th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.
