According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 172, giving it the 41st smallest population among Alabama. The town spans an area of 2.74 sq mi (7.1 sq km), of which, 2.73 square miles (7.07 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it the 146th smallest by size in Alabama.
