Waverly City is one of the city of Humphreys County, Tennessee, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. It is home to over 4028 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4186, It is the 113th largest by population in the U.S. state of Tennessee. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.13 mi˛ (21.06 sq km), it is the 112th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
