Waverly City is a city located in the Bremer County, Iowa, United States. As of 2000 the population was 8968. The July 2008 population estimate is 9298, making it Iowa's 39th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 11.47 sq mi (29.71 square kilometre ), of which, 11.16 square miles (28.9 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.31 square miles (0.8 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 26th largest by total area in Iowa.
