Waveland City is a city in the Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The population of the city was 6674 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 5249, making it Mississippi's 54th largest. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.81 mi˛ (17.64 square kilometre), it is the 89th largest in terms of geographical size.
