Waurika City is one of the city of Jefferson County, Oklahoma, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 1988 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1823, making it the 149th most populous in Oklahoma. Its area is just over 11.84 sq mi (30.67 square kilometre), of which, 11.83 square miles (30.64 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 98th largest by total area in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1988 people in the city, organized into 741 households, and 501 families residing in the city.
