Waukee City is a United States city located in the Dallas County, Iowa, United States. It is home to over 5126 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 12367, It is the 73rd most populous in the U.S. state of Iowa. The city spans an area of 8.4 square miles (21.76 kmē), of which, 8.39 square miles (21.73 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 37th largest in terms of geographical size.
