Wauconda Village is a city located in the Lake County, Illinois, United States. It is home to over 9448 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 12219, making it Illinois's 213th largest. It covers total area of 4.28 mi˛ (11.09 sq km), of which, 3.86 square miles (10 sq km) of it is land and 0.42 square miles (1.09 sq km) of it is water, making it the 257th largest by size in Illinois.
