Watertown City is a city located in Jefferson County, New York, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 26705 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 27310, It is New York's 52nd largest by population . The city has a total area of 9.28 square miles (24.04 sq km), of which, 8.96 square miles (23.21 sq km) of it is land and 0.32 square miles (0.83 sq km) of it is water, making it New York's 70th largest by total area.
